Try mount -t cd9660 /dev/acd0c /cdrom.  It worked for me on FBSD4.1-S.

You can also put this in a script file so all you will have to type in is
a few keystrokes.  I used a variant of the one found at 
www.mostgraveconcern.com/freebsd in the Miscellaneous section.
