Yes, I already did this (or a slight variant), but that only fixes it for me. The metaport really needs to be adjusted so that selecting "No" on gdm2 installation does not leave the installation incomplete...perhaps by moving gdm:${PORTSDIR}/x11/gdm2 dependency to the end of the list.
