1.33 is the latest in the stable line. The are already 1.39 SNAPs
out there.

So I'd deal with 1.31 to be something for backward compat,
if really needed, 1.33 the default, and soon we'll have another
1.3x, which will be needed for me to get the nethack-qt port
finished, which needs improvements made in 1.39 or 1.40.
