Furrfu. And it is not as if it actually costs you much more than a bit of swap space: aw1@titus /home/aw1$ ps -aux | grep getty root 365 0.0 0.0 828 0 v0 IWs+ - 0:00.00 (getty) root 366 0.0 0.0 828 0 v2 IWs+ - 0:00.00 (getty) root 367 0.0 0.0 828 0 v3 IWs+ - 0:00.00 (getty) root 368 0.0 0.0 828 0 v4 IWs+ - 0:00.00 (getty) root 369 0.0 0.0 828 0 v5 IWs+ - 0:00.00 (getty) root 370 0.0 0.0 828 0 v6 IWs+ - 0:00.00 (getty) root 371 0.0 0.0 828 0 v7 IWs+ - 0:00.00 (getty) root 372 0.0 0.0 828 0 v8 IWs+ - 0:00.00 (getty) ^ | --------------------------------+ Admittedly, I was bitten by the change when it happened. That I was bitten was my own fault. I do read the commit logs, but the significance of feeding the monster didn't hit me. I later blithly merged away, rebooted and thought "Oops, take more care next time, don't simultaneously upgrade three machines in a hurry". I would like to make a small plea for facts always in the logs, but still retaining the occasional bit of humour. -- Adrian Wontroba To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
