Can someone help me figure out why this doesn't work: In my .forward I have: don, "|/bin/sh/ -c '/usr/bin/vacation -d -d sysadmin root' 2>/root/.vacation.log" When I send an email to root at that system, I get the forwarded copy, but then I get: ----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors ----- "|/bin/sh/ -c '/usr/bin/vacation -d -d sysadmin root' 2>/root/.vacation.log" (expanded from: <root@shell.amplespace.com>) ----- Transcript of session follows ----- 554 "|/bin/sh/ -c '/usr/bin/vacation -d -d sysadmin root' 2>/root/.vacation.log"... unknown mailer error 2 Here's what's in my .vacation.msg file: From: root@amplespace.com (Root) Subject: Auto Response test 123 Nothing is put in the .vacation.log for me to debug. What am I doing wrong? I'm just trying to setup a simple autoresponder and forward the email on to myself if someone sends an email to root@amplespace.com. Any help would be appreciated. Don't worry about the possible mail-loops.... this is just an example setup. Don To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
