Yes, indeed :-)

Unfortunately, those cheap 8139-based cards are the most generally
available. Usually those cards are the only ones available in the stocks
of the PC shops, at least here in Spain (most users[*] tend to blindly buy
the cheaper computer parts and accesories). I always recommend the fxp's
or xl's, but they must be backordered, which implies waiting a few days
for the card to arrive. As a consequence, we have a number of PCs with
8139 ethernet interfaces :-( .
