I see this same problem on 9-STABLE r252890 i386.  On this same system I 
also see this[1] dbus error when attempting to choose a file to import, 
yet there's every indication that dbus is working.

Another system running 9-STABLE amd64 does not have any problems.

Both systems are running virtualbox-ose-4.2.16 built from ports (under 
KDE4).
