Run the DOS kermit, since it is the only one with VT100 emulation
in it.

Run a local copy of IRC, since IRC doesn't require VT100 anyway.

If you are not particular about where your VT100 comes from, run
your kermit in a "screen" window, since "screen" windows emulate
VT100's.
