Do a cvsup -v. You should see something like the following but for 16.1e

coral# cvsup -v
CVSup client, non-GUI version
Copyright 1996-2002 John D. Polstra
Software version: SNAP_16_1f
Protocol version: 17.0
Operating system: FreeBSD4
http://www.polstra.com/projects/freeware/CVSup/

Also, what do you have for a cvsup file.
