Hi,

Would it be possible for me to create a custom boot kernel for a PC on =
to stiffies and then use that to boot and install FreeBSD from the CD?
If yes, any pointers?

Reason I'm asking is because all the version 4 FreeBSD distro's refuse =
to give me the kernel config menu on boot from the install CD or =
stiffies (just beeps twice) and then asks me to enter to boot the =
default kernel which either hangs the PC or just disabled the keyboard - =
meaning I can't install FreeBSD.
It's an AMD Athlon 600MHz with a GigaByte 7IXE MotherBoard(with latest =
BIOS update).

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I 'really' want to get FreeBSD on =
this box as it's much better @ firewalling than Linux!

Thanks,
Eugene van Zyl
