You'll need a swap device which is atleast as big as the amount of memory in your machine. After this, the next time it reboots see if you get a crash dump or any more useful message in the logs. If you don't get something more informative, then the chances are that the problem is some sort of hardware problem. If you do get a message when we have a better idea what is going on. David.
