Most things are going very well but every now and then I hit something which I can't solve on my own. I had managed to configure CUPS correctly and print with it but - if I'm correct this is the thing to do if you want to use modern printers rather than writing filters for lpr - but now the configuration is slightly incorrect and I'm getting the following message lpd[408]: /dev/lp: No such file or directory I know this means that the wrong device (/dev/lp as opposed to /dev/lpt0) has been specified and as a result the service won't start but I haven't been able to find the offending file.
