You can add incremental configs in /usr/local/etc:
/usr/local/etc/pkg/repos/FreeBSD.conf:
FreeBSD: {
url: "pkg+http://pkg.FreeBSD.org/${ABI}/latest",
}
This will only change the url and keep the rest.
