I made a simple attempt (no deep hacks) at updating the port to 0.7.11. It compiles for me, but crashes when I run it, after displaying an error message about not being able to find its fonts. I noticed the names of many of the fonts (in the fonts.dir file) have spaces in them, but without the double quotes around them that the mkfontdir man page says are needed. I tried adding the quotes and restarting X, but it made no difference.
