If your IP address is dynamic and you'd like to be notified when the DHCP client receives a new address, is that what you mean? If so, fetch http://www.wicklein.org/~chrisw/FreeBSD/dhclient/dhclient-exit-hooks and save the file as /etc/dhclient-exit-hooks and chmod it, chmod 540 /etc/dhclient-exit-hooks that's all you need afaik. -guido -----Original Message----- From: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG [mailto:owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG] On Behalf Of Peter Brezny Sent: Lunes, 05 de Noviembre de 2001 01:36 p.m. To: freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Subject: forcing renew of DHCP lease How do you force an interface to renew its dhcp lease?
