Whoa, whip out the buzzwords!  "Multimedia networking"... :-)

That is minor and can be cured by using the -geometry option -- see the
man page for the command in question.

A truly object oriented (ie, OS/2) X windows would be too cool.  This may
be one of my future projects, if I can get into the user interfaces group
here at the UO.

Unlike other OSs, pipes do not create temporary files.  If you are getting
broken pipes, then more may be broken.  Try installing less-2.90; it's a
better more.  :)
