>Description:

After upgrading my laptop's install ports, X no longer starts properly.
The laptop is a Dell Latitude D820 with an nVidia GeForce Go 7400 graphics
card. Under the previous nvidia driver, it worked perfectly fine. With
nvidia-driver-173.14.05, I'm see the same problem described here:

  http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=113929

Interestingly, this same driver works just fine on my desktop computer
(Dell Precision 380 with an nVidia Quadro FX 1400).

>How-To-Repeat:

Upgrade certain nVidia equipted laptops to the latest nvidia-driver.

>Fix:

According to the link given above, the only fix is to downgrade the
driver. Perhaps we could just create a new port such as
x11/nvidia-driver-173 ?
