When you say "forward frame," are you referring to routing or bridging? If you wanted to route between VLAN interfaces, you can certainly do that. If you want to do something like this: -------- -------- |Switch| ---- FreeBSD ---- |Switch| -------- -------- With the FreeBSD box acting as another switch, I would recommend against it.
