Hello all, I am trying to build KDE3 on my Miata running 4.5-STABLE. I cvsup-ed my ports tree this morning before trying to build KDE3. I get an error from autoconf, FWIW I don't think that it is a KDE issue, it's probably my machine. I tried to install autoconf manually, and I get the same error as when the KDE3 install tries to build it. Here is the make output: ===> Extracting for kde-3.0_1 >> No MD5 checksum file. ===> kde-3.0_1 depends on file: /usr/X11R6/bin/moc - found ===> kde-3.0_1 depends on shared library: konq - not found ===> Verifying install for konq in /usr/ports/x11/kdebase3 If you want to compile with Motif support, hit Ctrl-C right now and use "make WITH_MOTIF=yes" Motif is used for Netscape plugin compatibility. ===> Extracting for kdebase-3.0_1 >> Checksum OK for KDE/kdebase-3.0.tar.bz2. ===> kdebase-3.0_1 depends on file: /usr/X11R6/bin/moc - found ===> kdebase-3.0_1 depends on executable: gmake - found ===> kdebase-3.0_1 depends on shared library: intl.2 - found ===> kdebase-3.0_1 depends on shared library: kdecore - not found ===> Verifying install for kdecore in /usr/ports/x11/kdelibs3 ===> Extracting for kdelibs-3.0_1 >> Checksum OK for KDE/kdelibs-3.0.tar.bz2. ===> kdelibs-3.0_1 depends on executable: autoconf - not found ===> Verifying install for autoconf in /usr/ports/devel/autoconf ===> Configuring for autoconf-2.53 configure: WARNING: you should use --build, --host, --target checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c -o root -g wheel checking whether build environment is sane... yes checking for gawk... no checking for mawk... no checking for nawk... no checking for awk... no checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... yes checking for expr... no checking for gm4... /usr/local/bin/gm4 checking whether m4 supports frozen files... yes checking for perl... no configure: error: perl is not found ===> Script "configure" failed unexpectedly. Please report the problem to portmgr@FreeBSD.org [maintainer] and attach the "/usr/ports/devel/autoconf/work/autoconf-2.53/config.log" including the output of the failure of your make command. Also, it might be a good idea to provide an overview of all packages installed on your system (e.g. an `ls /var/db/pkg`). *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/devel/autoconf. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/x11/kdelibs3. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/x11/kdebase3. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/x11/kde3.
