Hello,
I have a HP T4000s tape backup which I am trying to run.
The device st0 is recodnize but when I run dump 0 /dev/rst0
	I get this:
DUMP: Date of this level 0 dump: Fri Nov 15 11:05:42 1996
DUMP: Date of last level 0 dump: the epoch
  	DUMP: Dumping /dev/rst0 to /dev/rmt8
  	DUMP: bad sblock magic number
DUMP: The ENTIRE dump is aborted.
Or if I type tar cf *
	I get:
	tar: can't write to /dev/rst0 : Input/output error

Do I need to format the tape? If so how do I do that.
	Please help me.
		Thank you,
