I post this question some time ago to the list, but the answers are
confusing me! What I want to do is the following:

	- place a dynamical SCSI switch between my external box and the
          Adaptec 1742A
	- assume FreeBSD is up and running, I want to attach/deattach the
external box with a CD-Rom and a streamer in it
	- is it possible to tell the kernal that it's loosing/catching
	  some devices?

Perhaps this is more clear than my blurred description before.

   Thanks in advance

   Lars
