Check the foomatic db and you should be fine. I have got a canon pixma photo printer and a samsung colour laser working with no trouble, just can't get photo quality so you should have no trouble I'd reckon. Low up front _and_ maintenance costs is pushing it IMO- like oil and water: never together. But of course that is always relative :) And it is also relative to where you live too.
