This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0005_01BF1A45.72D6AB40 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable I have a question. I'm not sure if it is my samba configuration or my = DNS configuration. A friend of mine is running Windoze98 and has samba = server to provide domain logins. People on the internet are also able = to connect to his network by running them command (in Windoze) = \\xatter.dhs.org. =20 I'm trying to create that same type of setup. I'm able to do = \\www.cmsnet.net and it works fine. I'm also able to do = \\ftp.cmsnet.net and that works fine also. Yet, I'm not able to to = \\manlius-1.cmsnet.net from the windoze98 client. It gives the error = "Network Could not be found". If I log onto my Samba server and run the = command smbclient \\\\manlius-1.cmsnet.net, everything works fine! So, = everything works fine using smbclient but doesn't work right with = windows. Why would this be?? Below is my DNS Zone file: @ IN SOA manlius-1.cmsnet.net. root.cmsnet.net.
