Also note that amd64 disk1 fails to boot on some SATA cd/dvd drives
(gets upto the end of the device detection but then goes into a finite
series of read_fail timeouts on the cd/dvd drive)...

Details ICH9 with on board SATA/300
P35 Chipset
OEM SATA DVD drive
