It runs on my amd64 6.x. BTW, the distinfo seems incorrect, I got

MD5 (ht-2.0.tar.bz2) = 3fb6d9a736bfbb7f4b6f46ee752201e5
SHA256 (ht-2.0.tar.bz2) =
1d0025030fb9bb22b8b14043611fff5003e8cbc3a9689977b79c14eba0c6829f
SIZE (ht-2.0.tar.bz2) = 854003

A minor issue, you may want to remove

.if ${OSVERSION} < 400000
LIB_DEPENDS+= ncurses.5:${PORTSDIR}/devel/ncurses
.endif

There is no need to keep pre 4.x support.
