At my site, where all computers share a 56k modem connection, I have been using about the least expensive cards available, which are 10Base-T PCI NE2000 clones based on the Realtek Chip. I have many of such cards in many different computers and never had any problems with them under FreeBSD. Additionally, I have used a gfew 3Com cards, and, as Bill has said, these work fine.
