I missed that too. So do I understand correctly that once switched to pkg(1), the old pkg_* tools should not be used anymore? Is that what the output below tells me: # pkg version -v |grep "<" gcc < needs updating (port has 4.7.0.20120128) # pkg_version -v |grep "<" gcc-4.7.0.20120107 < needs updating (port has 4.7.0.20120128) libXaw-1.0.8,1 < needs updating (port has 1.0.8,2) libXt-1.0.9 < needs updating (port has 1.0.9,1) xorg-macros-1.15.0 < needs updating (port has 1.16.1) # pkg info libXaw libXt xorg-macros libXaw-1.0.8,2: X Athena Widgets library libXt-1.0.9,1: X Toolkit library xorg-macros-1.16.1: X.Org development aclocal macros that pkg_info and pkg_version can no longer be trusted, and "pkg info" and "pkg version" must be used instead. It makes sense, but just to check. Sorry to be so slow. Anyway, the new tools are great, working fine on ia64 r231193.
