I have the same problem, FreeBSD 5 hangs at: pci0: at device 31.6 (no driver attached) FreeBSD 4.6 hangs also, CRUX 0.9.4 hangs... only suse 8.1 boots without problems (but I have to change the loadorder of drivers for network and pcmcia, if I load pcmcia after network the machine hangs). okay, how can I get a new kernel without a running FreeBSD 5 box and if I have a kernel how can I boot from it? put it onto a floppy and load at bootprompt? best regards, Tilo ps: I play with a toshiba 1110 (z-16?)
