The second line does not appear in my case, only the first line (very simi=
lar).

At this point, I do not have a clear understanding of what MAKEDEV should =
do. I suppose it should 
create or activate in one way or the other the device snd0 (in my case).

However, when I take a close look at /dev/ after I ran './MAKEDEV snd0', I=
 conclude that there is 
no file or device called 'snd0'. I hope this info helps to make you see wh=
ere I need some more 
help!
