Just to be perfectly clear here, CPUTYPE is makefile code only, it doesn't change gcc in any way. All it does is add settings to CFLAGS and activate asm code in OpenSSL -- therefore if -march worked for you before, it will continue to work into the future. > Am also curious if some port builds might be affected.
