According to the VMS FAQ, the AXP name was officially abandoned (and even 
newer versions of OpenVMS are called Alpha/OpenVMS, and not OpenVMS/AXP). 
They simply came up with the AlphaGeneration (tm) logo, that they could 
trademark...
