After running that, you would then want to merge the password files, 
making sure the root etc entries from the FreeBSD system are set in the 
new passwd file, then move it to /etc/master.passwd and type:

    pwd_mkdb -p /etc/master.passwd

Good luck, and make sure to have backups and a safety boat ;)
