I haven't done anything about the failed patch yet 'cos Hellmuth is 
about to commit version 0.83.0 to -current.  As soon as this happens, 
the ppp patches will go in and will be available from my web site as 
usual.  Ppp will be able to auto-detect if a good version of i4b is 
installed.

It may be worth holding off on any howto's 'till then too.
