Hmm, I didn't have any problems with the 53C876 or the 53C896 on a Proliant 3000 or Proliant ML530, respectively. Boot the system using the verbose flag ('boot -v' at the boot prompt), and show us the dmesg output. Also tell us which drives are on which channels. According to a little Compaq book I've got here, the 6500 has a single integrated dual-channel controller, which is most likely the 53C876 (dual-channel 53C875). I have only used one channel on these so far, but the other channel looks like it is detected just fine. -- Chris Dillon - cdillon@wolves.k12.mo.us - cdillon@inter-linc.net FreeBSD: The fastest and most stable server OS on the planet.
