The following reply was made to PR i386/40099; it has been noted by GNATS. From: David Schultz <dschultz@uclink.Berkeley.EDU> To: freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org, nospam@ethernetweb.com Cc: Subject: Re: i386/40099: Jul 1 19:39:17 server /kernel: pid 77933 (cc1), uid 0: exited on signal 10 (core dumped) Date: Fri, 5 Jul 2002 03:15:45 -0700 Caveat emptor when using pre-release software. In any case, you can almost certainly grab the necessary binaries via FTP, or from a CD for an actual release. Though it may be overkill, installing the `bin' distribution ought to allow you to make world. Unless you can reproduce your cc1 crash in 4.6-RELEASE, I think this PR can be closed. (In the future, you will need to provide a bit more information in bug reports. For instance, you might say what file you were trying to compile when gcc died, or better yet, get your hands dirty with some gdb hackery.)
