Just what aspect of the "user perspective" am I > missing here? I believe I've covered them all. Upgrading IPFilter without upgrading FreeBSD. Users seem inclined to do this inbetween when I update the source tree (usually because I'm not that happy with what's been released). Now maybe you don't care about those FreeBSD users that want to do this, but they appear to be amongst the more proactive in using/pushing FreeBSD. If that's your intent, I'll only be too happy to let them know the project leader was not thinking of the userbase when he decided to approve of this O:-) Note, this doesn't affect me, personally, apart from having to do cvs things in different directories.
