This means that now smbfs code can be either compiled into kernel or loaded as module. Related options are: LIBMCHAIN, LIBICONV - mandatory. NETSMB, NETSMBCRYPTO, SMBFS - these are replacement for smbfs.ko module. Please deinstall old version of smbfs and install new - 1.4.1.
