Such as: /usr/ports/distfiles /usr/ports/packages /usr/obj /var/db /var/empty /var/mail and /var/run (these can all be created as-needed once the system is installed). [/snip] The idea is that all of those directories you mentioned are empty by default on a freshly installed system. Compare that to directories which are not empty -- if the user wants the data in a separate dataset, they have salvage existing data in the process. -- Devin
