I've been trying to get virtual ips to work, unfortunately, ifconfig ed0 inet vip realip alias does -not- work like it does on ppp0, so I decided to try to use ifconfig_ed0_alias0="xxxxx netmask 0xffffff00" in the rc.conf.. Now, mind you, I have 64 aliases entered... What happened, is it either locked the machine totally, or it dropped it's ethernet connection to the router (which is still up)... Does anyone have any ideas on _why_ this happened, or a better way to go about doing virtual hosts via ed0? And yes, I've read the docs, if there's something I missed, I apologize. I appreciate the help. Matt -- matt@AIC-GW.MLINK.NET To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
