Synopsis: FreeBSD 4.3 Hangs probing devices

State-Changed-From-To: open->feedback
State-Changed-By: roam
State-Changed-When: Sun Aug 5 02:54:40 PDT 2001
State-Changed-Why:
Before the system gets to the 'probing devices' screen, it should
have displayed a menu with three choices for you, one of which
is 'visual configuration' or similar. Can you try choosing this
'visual configuration', and then disabling (deleting) all devices
which you know that you do not have in your system, so that there
are no IRQ/DMA/whatever conflicts during probing?
