This combined with my hardclock/statclock restructuring patches completely
fixes all the clock issues with alpha SMP.  Currently I'm testing out some
patches from dfr to truly fix the t7 trashing problem which is the only
glaring bug in alpha SMP right now.  Once that is done, I'll convert the x86
SMP code to use the new hardclock/statclock and put that up for review.
