So don't *tell* them that you want to set up multiple machines.

Just tell them that you are worried about security.  Or that you got a new 
machine.

Surely they don't refuse to provide service every time somebody replaces 
their NIC?

Did these guys take lessons from Microsoft or something?

Also, you might want to see whether your phone company has ASDL if the cable 
company is so arrogant.

(Around here, it's the other way 'round.  Too bad you don't have TWC.)
