It should do just fine :)

Be aware that the default kernel for BSD is set to run on a single
processor.  However, rebuilding the kernel for SMP support is quite a
simple process.

When installing, be sure to include all the source code (it's an option
during the installation process).  Once that's done, the kernel rebuild
is possible.
