I dunno, check to make sure the client can reverse-lookup the server, and
the server can reverse-lookup the client

I'm not sure, but I think imap lets you store your mail on the server.
You can create folders on the server, ...

POP3 is just a mail retrieval protocol.

sendmail is your SMTP server.  I don't think you should turn it off


Try downloading qpopper, it just a POP3 server w/o the imap stuff.
