Exactly.  AccelX does not have DMA support last I heard.  XFree86 does (via
the XF86VidMode extension).  So on AccelX, the CPU and system memory are
always in the middle of a triple-stage image copy, assuming your server's
XImage format is compatible with the Bt chip.  If not, it's worse.
