Because I value the end product more then bending over to a version
control system.

It would be nice to have both pieces of history (and as long as no
one cleans out apsfilter6, we will always have both), but there is
no way to superimpose apsfilter6's history on top of apsfilter.

The end result (having one port named apsfilter be the one and only
apsfilter port) is more important then somehow having both pieces
of history in one RCS file.
