just wanted to report that i've stumbled upon this issue, too. there was a pdf,
which i wanted to save. however a weird char popped up in the filename inside
the save dialog. when i tried to remove that char from the filename inside the
save dialog, chromium always crashed.

unfortunately i cannot remember the site and file that triggered this
behaviour. :(

cheers.
