The PR doesn't apply to this case in particular, because you never could
compile a kernel without COMPAT_43 but with COMPAT_LINUX. It takes some
effort to have that ability, because some Linux syscalls map directly to
old FreeBSD syscalls (osethostname and ostat for example).

The commit to kern_sig.c was exactly what the PR described, but I want
to have the PR open because there are probably other places where we
need to fix things.

Now that you mention it, I forgot to add the PR to that commit.
