You don't want to wait that long -- AsiaBSDCon isn't until March!

I've only built the AMI Builders in us-east-1 in the past.  But it's very
easy to copy AMIs between regions -- you don't need to save to S3 and then
re-import them, just use the "copy AMI" command (available as an API call
or via the AWS Console).
