1) jexec 1 ifconfig em0 inet6 -ifdisabled

    to enabled v6 for the interface.


2) have you tried ping -n a.c.b.d  using addresses to get the resolver
    out of the picture.  Can you tcpdump and see outgoing packets on em0?
